CZ 527 6.5 SPC Build

Finally completed my 6.5 SPC. A 6.8 SPC case neck is necked down to 6.5. This was a CZ 527 carbine, 7.62x39mm action. The 6.8 SPC case head is slightly smaller than the 7.62X 39mmm head but feeds the ejects just find this CZ action.

The barrel is a 24 inch Pac-Nor Stainless Steel match grade barrel in a CZ ALL American contour in 6.5 cal. The reamer was a custom PTG 6.5mm SPC X 6.8 SPC Finisher reamer and head space go gauge (which eventually will be sold).

The scope base bridge is a DIP bridge base which fits CZ 527 rifles and allows any Weaver type rings to fit the base. It also allows the CZ 527 bolt handle to clear most scopes.

Oh that does look good. It is strikingly similar to my custom barreled .221 FB CZ. I have a Calhoon follower in it instead of a magazine and that really cleans up the lines.

If that shoots as good as it looks, and I've no doubt that it will, then you have one super duper gun right there. Good job.

Right now I'm shooting 100 grain Hornady A Max's, but for deer I plan on shooting 120 grain bullets.
