Cz452 22Mag (what ammo to try?) Found It

I have ran 45 rounds through my 452 22 mag so far. Cci 30g vmax
It shot those pretty well. Just finished shooting two 5shot groups that could be covered with a nickle. But I suspect it can do better.

What are you guys getting the best results with in your 452 22mags?
 
After work this morning I picked up a box of cci 40g hollow points.

I think it likes them. POI was slightly off but once we got it where she needed to be, here's how she stacked them. Only the 3 count. The one slightly to the left, was from getting back on target.

Nothing fancey about them, but all the 22mag's I've had were best shooters with the old grey box Winchester SuperX 40gr HP
 
Funny thing is, my local shop dosent even carry those anymore. I've seen them before but didn't today.

I think I'll stick with these
 
CCI 40 Grain HP's work in my CZ 455 Lux.. I only have ~1000 stockpiled..

BTW Cheaper than Dirt had em for $120/500 to my door. then I found em in Salt Lake at Gallensons for $9.95/box-50

That shop is awesome at times.
 
Thanks meat hunter. I always liked those ruger rimfires, and the 22mag never gets enough credit. It's a fine round to have in the arsenal. Ive had one for about 3-4 years now (not this cz) a savage 94..and idk what I'd do without one.
 
CCI 40gr. Game Point Ithink its going to be my new go to round for the old magnum! Great for small game and even better for coyotes, bobcat. The best penetration of any 22 magnum round Ive ever shot!!
 
I've got a CZ 452 .22 mag and it shoots 40 gr bullets better than the lighter ones. I keep 40 gr CCI hollow points and solids for it. Great gun.
 
If Winchester 34 grain hollow-points shot any better in my CZ magnum, I declare I don't know what I'd do....lol Very hard to find now.

Bohunr, thanks for the info, but you left the cat out of the bag! I already have 17 boxes coming from SGAmmo. They don't have a lot left. Their price was great; we'll see what the condition is upon arrival.
 
I have a 452 American in .22 mag. Also have a couple of HMRs, but prefer the Mag on predators and larger critters. 30 gr polytip is the most accurate, but I favor 40 gr for raccoon, coyote, beaver and such.

Had my 452 chopped to 18” and threaded. Usually shoot it suppressed with a thermal. Attached is a picture of the rifle with a large beaver that I took with it.
