Dead Coyote pattern and penetration pictures!

Is your turkey choke rated for Hevi-Shot or steel, what constriction is it, and what gauge and shell length are you shooting? Those are the factors that need to be considered. If it is rated for Hevi-Shot or steel, and, isn't over about .670" tight for a 3" .12 ga. then you're good to go.

I had the same expensive conclusion that the dead coyote patterned much better than I could get #4 buckshot to. I don't get enough shots at coyotes to take a chance of missing with cheaper ammo. This is the post I wrote up last year.

I just bought an HS Strut Undertaker choke made for hevi-shot at Gander Mountain. I read someone didn't think their Carlson Dead coyote patterened any better than their turkey choke, and the HS are on sale for $14 for all sizes, but invector plus, which I needed. Its I.D. is .675 and it shoots great out of my gun. With some help from GC and his previuos posts I decided to buy another choke tube and see how it patterened with different loads. I put 31 pellets of the 54 pellets inside of 10" at 45 yards. I never thought I would get my gun to pattern that well. The #4 Buckshot was all over the 4' x 4' target out of this choke.
