Dead dog walking TV show.

I like Les Johnson. I think he's the real deal and he'd be great to hunt with. If he just didn't have to pedal all that merchandise on his show.I know it's all about sponsership and $$$, but give it a break. It's a wonder anyone watches any hunting show, with all the brain numbing sales pitches. There should be some sort of limitation. I'll step down off my soap box now- sorry.

I've got to say I agree. These shows are fairly terrible with endorsments. Les can shoot but it seems like he trys to get the coyotes too close and screws it up a lot. Can't stand him naming everything he used to kill the yote in the follow up scene. Fred's enthusiasim is unparelled and you can't help but want to hunt with the guy. If your sick of endorsements, just go and spend $15 and get a "Calling all Coyotes" DVD. In my opioion, Randy Anderson is the king of calling yotes into the camera, getting good footage and making the shot before things go bad. They may push Primos but it is very mild in comparison. If you just pace yourself and watch 3-4 hunts a night its like a TV show but no comercials.

The first show I saw, I thought they were going start kissing each other after a gut shot dog finally piled up.

Bunch of trigger happy idiots off their A.D.D. meds.

Didnt say I didnt like Johnsons show just to much B.S. on the products!!!! Every season its something different, guess its who pays the most, just saying......

Putting coyotes on film is not easy.....that said some should make shows, some shouldn't. If you like it watch it, if you dont, dont watch it....ratings are everything. If you like what they do support em, if you dont let the sponsors know.....

RFLMAO.......I got sucked in and watched a couple of his waterfowl shows and there no better. Self promoting DBag. The slicker coat picture makes me think of the village people go hunting.

Saw Dead Dog Walking for the first time! At first thought it was a remake of the Outlaw Josey Wales but turned out to be the wild bunch of cheese balls.

I watched it not once but twice! That was enough for me. The "I'm a rough tough cowboy wannabe." Just about made me not watch it but I forced myself to watch it to see if I thought they really knew what they were talking about. And there was a lot of that. It really looks like the show was thrown together by a group of newbies to coyote calling and they are now "Hunting Celebrities". lol.
Good for them I suppose.

About a yr ago they had a show on trapping bobcats, they went with a NV trapper he caught a swift fox, he said he could keep them but he lets them go, I was shocked! he let it go, I saw in real time the leg was broken so bad the fox could never survive, Belding said they were burrowing animals, how the bleep will it dig a hole with one leg in front, even if it survived the injury!!!??? then he got a bobcat Belding went to go get his kids to see it before they put the cat down. He went to dispatch it with a revolver, Belding missed it at 10', really? man that was bad, then when he killed it, they all high fived, jumping up and down screaming like girls, even a dang coyote deserves more respect than that! I actually thank the Lord for the gift and the life the animal gave. That show will not help any trapper keep their rights.
Thats on top of all the complaints previously mentioned. At that time several guys wrote his sponsers, no results. I used to laugh at Less Johnsons show, now it looks pretty good compared to that Dead Crap on Air

My big problem with some of the shows is you hear more about their sponsers than actually them hunting. I know you should mention them, but after the 18th time, I know who paid your way. I've always wanted to do some filming, but always thought that I would endorse products I like and feel are great quality. Some I've seen tell sponsors during commercial breaks, not after every single time you shoot something.

There are several terrible predator hunting shows on TV. Without doubt Dead Dog Walking is the worst I have seen in over 30 years.

There are several predator hunting shows that I enjoy--Furtakers, Predator Quest and Dog Soldier etc.

I record all predator shows no matter what I think about the people or content. I watch them all so I know for sure that Dead Dog Walking is the bottom of the barrel. The Village People introduction is awful and the talks that Chad gives to open and close are about as insincere and ego driven as I have ever listened to. No wonder they kicked him off the show and sent him duck hunting.

I appreciate just having predator shows to watch. Yet like teaching 5th graders to write for your audience, one wonders who 'Dead Dog' is trying to appeal to. The only impression my wife has of hunters is me and the shows I have on when it's my turn with the remote. Sad to say, she really doesn't care to be associated with 'hunters' in general. Too much wild shooting that wounds and juvenile reactions to the kills.

Vaguely recall the 1st episode I watched; Here's a dead dog(pet) and that's why we hunt. Hmmm, that's part of why I hunt but know I'm in the minority. Wow, count the improvements to implement.

A simple who, what, where, why, and how would be a great start to improve the shows I see. Who; what background do the hunters possess? What; which senses the predator relies on, the characteristics of a good stand, weather impact, ect. . Where; state, public, refuge, park, private, habitat details, ect. . Why; benefits of taking the predators specific to that set/hunt. How, really, sometimes just the yardage of the shot would be an improvement, what about some ammo loading backdrop, how plans for that hunt evolved, good calibers to utilize, sighting in, safety concerns. Kill the driving to the site empty chatter, and pack some real hunting info into a show.

For myself also, the hi-5ing and juvenile adrenaline releases are a turnoff. That's more true for non-hunters, such as my wife. I'd hope someday, to see educational hunting shows that present a positive image; that would give my wife a reason to take pride in her hubbie hunting. Don't tell me how hard it is to put together a TV show. Folks are getting the hard part done now. Someone just needs to believe they can produce a quality show and do it.

If you want great examples, just view "hunter of the month" posts.

I've watched it a few times and stomach through the crappy, juvenile, western intro to see some coyotes coming in. I would say that of all the coyote shows I watch, DDW is the bottom of the barrel. Here's my issues with the show.

The high fiving and fist pumping after every coyote is a joke. As my dad used to say, "act like you've been there before!" Show some respect for the animal. These guys are clowns and the over-excited crap after every shot, in some cases while the coyote is still spinning from their stellar shooting, borders on unwatchable.

Stop justifying the calling and killing of coyotes as some huge management tool for saving other animals. Yeah, you pull a few coyotes out of the population, but you're not the freaken plague! Tell it like it is! I hunt coyotes, because it's fun, challenging, legal and I enjoy it! PERIOD! Sometimes I take the fur, sometimes I don't. Deal with it!

For the love of sweet Jesus, LEARN TO SHOOT!!! These guys are water fowlers not riflemen. That's evident from their 'kill' shots. It's not tough to shoot a coyote out to 150-yards. For most, that's a chip shot if you're practiced and know what you're doing. These guys clearly don't.

STOP, STOP, STOP handing out coyote calling advice. It's like asking a fat kid where the vegetables are in the store...he doesn't have a clue.

You can tell these guys are adjusting to the viewer comments, but it still doesn't help.

Chad Belding is not an ethical person or sportsman. I know from personal experience he is by no means someone you want your children learning from. I wouldn't give you a wooden nickel for anything that guy is involved in !!!
