they are pretty sweet. i like mine, i got them at first just cause i liked the way they looked, but they shoot good so i can't complain.

But yeah we have some monsters here. ill post a link of a thread i made with some of my pics...

that would be great, i started deer hunting more when i moved down here! i shot a 226 pound 6 point last year also a smaller spike with a gun! ive never shot one with a bow! im trying to set my rig up and i must say i have it pretty decked out. a lil expensive though! i need to invest in a tree stand or make one!

i been seein a nice 8 still in velvet! its a non typical and not to old, hes on my top! then theresa another 8 that looks realy old, and we only catch glimpses at a time of hime! very paranoid buck!

bow hunting is completely different from gun to me...you definintly have to practice practice practice. know your weapon and its capibilities. if you can't make a shot don't take it. Some of the best hunting is done behind an arrow in my opinion. it caqn be expensive thats for sure, i just ordered my new bow a few weeks ago. After its all said and done all total i will have close to 1000 tied up in it. Luckily i won't have to pay that much because i already had an awesome site and had an extra stabilizer sitting around. All i need is a rest and odds and ends to set it up. to me its worth it though. My last bow i had over 500 in it and i am just stepping up now. But to me archery is more fun than guns. I like shooting competitions and for fun too, its addicting to me. Good luck to you, feel free to ask any questions...there are plenty of people here that know bows and are willing to help.

Once you get your first bow kill under your belt, its going to be hard to go back to a gun. Its to easy. Bow hunting is very rewarding.

yea i can already tell i will like bow season more than deer gun season! i will eventuay get a new rest! but for now all i have to do is get some practice arrows and a triggerrelease and site her in! its an old golden eagle from the 80's with a wood like stock and the limbs are like a hard plastic or fiberglass! its actualy nice looking and when i get her set up i will put up some pics of her!

Get a target and practice, practice, and practice. Traditional shooters don't use sights and you really don't need them. It just makes it easier and more accurate most of the time. Practice with the same arrows you will be hunting with. I've been through it all from the 1960's on and I've lost track of the deer I've killed. If you have any specific questions, PM me, and I'll try to answer you.

Gun hunting is target practice. Bow hunting is hunting. Put down the guns 10 years ago to just hunt with a bow. Nothin' like it!
