what is with the multiple threads on the same topic these days?

does no one read other threads before starting their own?

right now there are no less than 3 threads about sonic cleaners, 2 are almost exact duplicates!

or the numerous threads about the 17wsm. they are all basically the same threads.

maybe to get in on the "fun" maybe i should start a thread about a very vexing question, are 223 and 5.56 the same?

Its not a recent thing.... Its been happening for years..

I think its important in this instance to note that both threads were old and brought back to life by the same member... Who probably used the search function to find them. He made a comment in one thread and was looking for info in another.

But I see what your saying about duplicate threads..

I think the owners should stop all forms of posting.

Than it could become like a predator hunting research center.

And no one would have anything to whine about.

I feel the same way about the same threads over and over. I think that I could count a half doz threads complaining about people not using the search function. I think that there are several threads complaining about people who want to talk about the newer 17 wsm cartridge. What's wrong with people???

Sorry, couldn't help myself

If we don't read the duplicate threads, they will go away rather quickly... But I can see where it could be a little irritating..

You did, back on Sept 17 2012.

Why go hunting for a thread when you can ask, everyones opinion changes over time and knowledge about stuff. Why bring up an old post when you can start a current and up to date thread.

in the thread that you dug up from a year and a half ago, i was not asking if there is a difference. i was asking how i could prove it to people who refuse to accept it.

Ha Ha your a funny guy.

This forum is a research center if the search option is used.
It is because of guys like you that most of the real knowledgeable folks have left this forum for better places.

We cannot expect this forum to be a premium site if we are always stuck in room 101. Which for the most part we are, any more.

The new guys need to be respectful and catch up fast, while the more advanced discuss the things at graduate level.

Interruption and repetition tends to wear people out.

In my view PM is on the down slide because of the "need" to help everyone in room 101 with out giving the more experienced a place to talk with out having to repeat what they have already gone over, and over and over again.

Have fun with it, expressing your opinion and filling your need to be heard while those who would gladly teach you the facts leave for greener pastures.

Peace.

Let's define Forum:
FORUM = a place, meeting, or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged.

Everybody brings something to the table, not everyone does the same or think the same.

I was just stating that you shouldn't complain when you do the same thing. You can google 223/5.56 and learn everything you need to know without even being in this forum since the internet has been around, which was much longer than a 1 1/2 yrs.

Chupa, glad you know everything you need to know about me. Should not be so narrow minded.

I would be much happier if members would start a topic thread in the correct topic...This one has nothing to do with Reloading and Ammo....It should be in the "Club House"....There, you can argue and discuss all evening...This topic is for those that want to learn/discuss Reloading and Ammo...

Not true...

Maybe not about that particular subject that they are new on, but if you help someone out with question that has been discussed a thousand times that you know about, does it really hurt to help a new guy out. Because, one day he may know something about a different subject that you do not have a clue about.

Everybody brings something to the table, it could be something that has nothing to do with this Forum, you can meet new friends anywhere and learn. I promise someone taught you things, because I can be sure to bet you are not a self learner in everything you know.

I'm done with this subject.

HHmmmm. New guy walks into the local gunshop and asks the owner about a certain caliber or maybe a certain product. The new guy sees it as a direct way to have a question answered. Gunshop owner answers question even though he answered it just an hour before..

Since the other guy sitting there happens to be an old hand in all things hunting, heard it all, knows it all, he sees it as a bother so he clams up, offers none of his knowledge, know how or experience, and after the new guy leaves he sits and gripes about the new guys question.

A bystander sitting by the side witnesses this. Now who do you think the bystander thinks is the buthead?

Let's face it guys, short of some major breakthrough, there are only so many questions to be asked and answwered.

So since most of them have been answered how about not asking anything ever again? Gonna get danged dull around here.

If you think the subject/question has been answered and you don't want to feed an answer back, then I suggest you don't. But don't gripe about someone asking a question and seeking information. They may very well have used the "search feature" and did not get a satisfactory answer..

By the way. Argue all you want, just keep it civilized and well within the scope of the "Terms of Service"... Yes that last line was a warni9ng and a heads up...James L.
