Looks like we barely dodged a bullet for our next mayor. Race went to a runoff vote, which was today.
The top 2 were a female who's been in office as a state representative. While the mayoral race is non-partisan, she's a dem & has years of a voting record. Very hard left, woke type votes. That is, when she could be bothered to vote,. She actually voted a minority percentage of the total.
The other is a guy who was a criminal court judge. There is no public voting record for that position.
He won. With 95% reporting he's 720 votes ahead. I expect her to demand a recount, which is legitimately her right to do, but as of now he's been declared the winner
If she was the mayor, Mobile would be run like Prichard. Prichard is an absolute shit hole
