FACT CHECK, after Democrats voted NO to fund DHS 5 times, and refusing to negotiate for 35 straight days..

on March 24, 2026.

Chuck Schumer gave Katie Britt a list of demands.

Then Sen. Katie Britt of Alabama stood outside the White House and told reporters she had a solution. She had just come from a two-hour meeting with President Trump. Who had agreed to the terms and she was bringing it back to Chuck Schumer to finalize the deal.

When asked by reporters- Do you have an agreement, she said

“We do,”, when asked if they had an answer from Chuck Schumer she said. “I am going to be working through the night, so hopefully we can figure out how to land this plane.”

By the next morning, Chuck had rescinded his offer saying he changed his mind.

By Wednesday afternoon, Britt was back at the Capitol telling reporters there were “deals on the table” and that “we look forward to hopefully finding a way to move forward.”

In response the President said.

“Because they don’t want to settle,”-“They want chaos.”

Underscoring the deadlock after that day, the Senate voted for a sixth time to advance a package to fund all of DHS. Every Democrat except John U.S. Senator John Fetterman VOTED NO.

Republicans, for their part, say Democrats are unwilling to take yes for an answer — even after they proposed leaving out ICE enforcement funding.
“I don’t know how they will ever satisfy their crazy online political base,” Thune told reporters, “because that’s what this is about.”

The University of Southern California cancelled a planned California primary gubernatorial debate because all of the candidates invited were white, multiple media outlets reported.

USC and KABC-TV invited Republicans Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco and Steve Hilton as well as Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell, former Democratic Rep. Katie Porter, San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan and left-wing billionaire Tom Steyer to the debate based on a formula that combined poll standings and campaign funds, the New York Times reported. The decision drew complaints from excluded Democratic candidates, including former Secretary of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra, former Los Angeles

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and former California State Controller Betty Yee, according to NBC Los Angeles.

Democrats fought hard and they have succesfully blocked funding of HSI.. Wait what is HSI you ask....

Well for those that don't know The Mission of Homeland Security Investigations is investigating transnational crime, terrorism, and threats to U.S. customs and immigration laws.

HSI agents investigate issues like human trafficking, smuggling, cybercrime, financial fraud, and child exploitation, operating both domestically and internationally.

But hey no more of that!! In tense Negotiations Democrat Senators agreed to Pass a partial budget, but to defund those that investigate terrorism- child exploitation and human trafficking.

Good job Chuck. You kept your word and stood the ground for human traffickers.

The more I see what the Democrats are doing, or are trying to do, the more I'm getting DDS. Their party, for the most part, has gone completely insane, I'll give Fetterman a pass, seems like he's the only one who has some common sense, which seems to be completely lacking in their party anymore, and they want him gone because of it!
