Desert/High Desert Hunters

If you are hunting desert or any open or semi open area and the dogs are being lazy, wouldnt't it be a good idea to call towards draws with thick cover as they maybe bedded down from being full?? Just thought it made sense. I am just starting into coyote hunting and have no experiance to base this off of.
 
Just take your wife with you and, at the appropriate moment, take away her credit cards. Those howls should bring in something.
