Its been forever since i have posted here. Im glad to be back, I still have a huge problem, I have no land to hunt on. The public land that i can hunt is over-hunted and you can only use Shotguns. I live in Louisburg Kansas near Overland Park. I am 17 years old but very gun safe and extremely quite and still on a stand. If anyone would be so kind as to give me permission to hunt there land or to let me tag along on a few hunts that would be awesome! I dont have a problem with putting in some work as a payment or if help is needed.

-Thanks, Marcus

You'll be miles ahead if you respectfully approach land owners and ask them permission to hunt their land. Treat it well and be appreciative and you'll likely have all kinds of land to hunt on.

Another thing to try... I made up some cards with my name and number on them and have left them with my buddy at a local sportsmans/taxidermy shop... he consistently gets people in complaining about coyotes and ask's if he knows anyone who hunts them. He has promised to refer them to me... hope this gets people knocking on my door and somemore land to hunt on.

When I was young I would help out with baling in exchange for permision to hunt. After a couple of summers The other farmers in the area knew about me and when I asked they'd let me hunt also.

When I lived in Wichita I went around and asked. Never got turned down. They would ask if I was running dogs and I said no. Oh ok, I just don't want any one driving in my fields chasing coyotes.

Just be polite and it shouldn't be a problem, but If your going to ask around the K.C area GOOD LUCK I think you'll need it. Head West Young Man

Help my sister fix combines in April and May. Bet my brother in law would let you hunt til hell freezes ....which, by the way with the weather the way it is, will be in a couple days. Seriously.

I made up some business cards, "Top Predator Services", i approached a farmer feeding his cows, handed him a card, and was shocked to learn he owns a thousand acres of prime yote territoy, (being five miles from the ocean in oregon , the thick vegetation makes finding an open stand difficult), and he has not let anyone hunt on it for 15 years! I have died and gone to heaven, going out in the morning to try it out, heard yotes howling all over last weekend. A business card is a great idea, thanks to varmint Al for the idea.
