Looking to get a die set for a new to me rifle. Got it in trade. Looking at redding and CH4D. Both are about the same price. Any opinion? By the way it is for a 6mm ackely.

Both work well. CH4D can be a fun phone call depending on who you get a hold of. The older man that works there will talk your ear off. Good people to deal with.

CH4D does make great dies. You might have to wait a bit but I like them. I have a couple of them that were much less than everyone else. Dave has made the 6.8 variant dies and was fun to talk with. Knowing a but if the process going in let's you ask the "right" questions.

Their quality is great. And their CS is great as well. Anytime I call, I talk to a real person. Not just someone at a phone and a computer. I would never second guess their work.

C4HD makes some very great dies, they are not a second rate outfit! Also, their std neck sizer will bump shoulders like Forester/bonanza dies.

Ive been using C&H dies, presses, powder measures and trimmers since the 1970's and although they've changed hands a few times quality has always been topnotch and i wouldn't be suprised to see the dies you want in stock.

I needed a set of 6.5x58R Sauer dies, a propriety German cartridge from the 1920's that is pretty rare, they had a set in stock including a bullet sizing die to take .264 down to .260 the old drilling will now shoot under a MOA at 200 yards.
