Difference between Savage Model 10 and Model 11

I used to have a Savage Model 10 in .243 and was wondering what the difference between it and the Model 11 is. I just told my dealer to pick me up a Model 11 in .204 Its the package deal for $480, which I thought was a pretty good price considering the cheapest I could find it on the net was $560. Thanks in advance. Josh

I believe the only difference between the two is the model 10 varmint accu-trigger will adjust down to 1.5# where the model 11 hunting trigger will adjust down to 2.0#. Stocks may vary and metal finish might be different but triggers are the only difference in the actions I know of.

I used to have a Model 10FXP3 that was the standard contour barrel. Not the varmint model. I bought it from wal-mart so it might be a special run type deal for them. It had the accu-trigger, internal box magazine, black synthetic stock, satin finish barrel. The Model 11FXP3 that my dealer is getting is the same thing pretty much according to their website except for the Model 10 package series isnt offered in .204 but if it were im assuming it would be the exact same gun. Surely they are both built from the same action being that they are bort short actions. Im just wondering bc i cant find a difference other than the Model 10's in the package series on the website come with a wood stock instead of the synthetic.

Judging from there website they dont make the Model 10FXP3 like I had. Must of been a limited run type deal for wal-mart but everything the model 11FXP3 says is the exact same as what my model 10 was.
