Im looking to buy a new dispenser scale combo.RCBS,Lyman and Hornady all make one. Any info on which is better or worse.

i have used the RCBS Chargemaster combo and loved it, very very accurate and RCBS has great CS and make great products. I have heard tat the Hornady oen is very good as well and a lot cheaper.

god luck with your purchase and let us kow what you get and how you like it

I have the Lyman DPS 1200 with the upgrade, but nothing to
compare it to. There are a lot of people who have problems
with them and I wonder if they take care to do maintenance.
Periodic wiping with a used dryer sheet (I believe that is
now in the maintenance instructions) is a must. Static
electricity will make them go haywire until it is neutralized.
Nor do they do well close to cell phone use, or near
computers, their monitors, or speakers. Can't say if any
of the others have these issues or not.

Other than that, I'm satisfied with mine. Accuracy in weight
is right on with my beam scale, as long as the required
maintenance is performed.

i like my lyman it does very well with h380. with varget though some are over by 1/10 of a grain. has anybody used the smartreloader ?

After 40 years of loading with my RCBS quick change powder measure and 10-10 scale my wife bought a Chargemaster 1500 combo. WOW, it's nice and accurate, we love it.

Ditto on this.

I got my degree in Chem a number of years back, and we would work with super accurate scales all day long. They were great, reliable, and also a fair bit more money then what reloaders would buy. But even still care had to be taken to use them correctly, and make sure they were static free, out of any air currents, away from electroic interferance, and clean.
