Thanks. You're do everything bullet thread, flung a small craving on me though. TC, at 37" suppressed. That would make a fun little squirrel popper that would be easy to move around in the Jeep. I'm thinkin .17AH. Or I guess HH is probably easier these days.

You're welcome, lol. Funny how you can think you don't need anything else, then you see something you hadn't thought of, and say, "Man I could really use one of those..."

I have no plans for any more rifles, I have more stuff than I can shoot now. But it will happen, sure as God made little green apples.

With a little light scope a cut down Encore is a really handy truck gun. One thing though. The end of the barrel is already 6-7 inches closer to your ear than a bolt gun even before you cut it down. With an 18" barrel it seems like it isn't much past the end of you nose when you shoot it. Not true, but it seems that way. I don't like shooting that one without a can. Well, I don't really like shooting anything without a can nowdays. But I really don't like shooting that one without one. I could have cut it on down to 16, but that might would be too short. 18" with a nice compact 556 can is just about right IMO.

I put a night vision scope on that Encore for setting over dead cows at night, and doing some night calling. But honestly the weight of the NV setup kind of kills that little rifle. I'm thinking real serious about going back to the 4-12 Vortex to keep it light and handy, and putting the NV on a different rifle. But I have to decide which rifle to make my dedicated night rig. Decisions, decisions.
