DNZ 1-Piece Mount?

Has anyone used the Game Reaper 1-piece mount from DNZ? If so, I would sure appreciate some input. Also, would the medium height of this mount handle a 50mm scope? It will be mounted on a Savage Axis 22-250. Thanks again, and good huntin'

I have a DNZ one piece on both my Tikka Hunter in 30-06 and my Winchester Mod. 70 in .223. I love them. Easy to install, solid as a rock, and light. You can't go wrong, in my humble estimation. However, I can't say about the med. for a 50mm scope, as mine are both 40mm on low rings. The company will advise or call the distributor - they should know if it's a go or not. Good Luck.

I have Ben installing reaper mounts for the last year on almost every rifle I sell. There isant a much better mount for the money imo. However the med will not clear a 50mm on the axis you have to get the high. Hope this helps good luck.

Texforce, I have 4 of the game reapers with one being on my wife's axis .243. They are good mounts IMHO along with easy installation and good strength holding zero. I went with the medium set because I had heard through the grapevine that the low mount would get hit by the bolt. That is what I heard but it didn't matter I was getting the medium because I was mounting a nikon prostaff 3-9x50 on the rifle and that scope fits right down close to the barrel.

They are great mounts for the axis and If you get one I don't think you will be disappointed. Good luck.

I'm not wild about the design. Narrow bases and fat rings. I prefer the other way around.

The single piece base design is supposed to improve rigidity and keep the rings aligned. But every DNZ mount I've installed has had the rings out of alignment. Not much, of course, but enough that I had to lap the rings. So, I don't see the benefit of this design.

I had one on a rem 270wsm, and you really had to tourqe the top ring down to keep the scope from slipping.

I've got one, it's ok at best. I just don't like 1 piece mounts because that bar that runs from front to back seems to clutter things up.
