Do blood trailing lights really work?

The Coleman gas lantern puts out light comprised of all the colors, which combined makes white light (like sunlight). A plain LED light produces primarily blue and yellow mix of colors (not much red or green) to make its white light.

Mark2 used it a couple times lookin for deer ... i agree that it worked fairly well , the spray that is !!!

Starlight bloodhound^ never used it
Got a cheap Rem hat clip type blood light for Christmas Im pretty skeptical its got regular and read leds also so it cant be completely useless

I have used the gerber. It works better on slightly wet blood compared to dry. I like it because you can switch from the tracking led to a white regulations flashlight. I have found switching back and forth helps. Don't think they work perfectly but they can help. Interested in trying the spray I see is being marketed to turn blood blue. Peroxide works but it destroys the trail after spraying if it circled you might lose it.

+1 on the Coleman gas lantern. It does work better than anything I have used on deer. Take a soda can and cut the ends off and split it. Wrap it around the lantern and it makes a great reflector. Keeps the light in front of you instead of your eyes.
