Do Coyotes & Domestic Dogs Crossbreed?

Have you seen the pic in the new fur fish game of the black coyote.... my guess is that that may be a coydog. just a guess.
 
I killed two black coyotes last season and they both looked like plain ole coyotes to me. But I have a red looking one that I killed a couple of years ago that looks a lot like a dog. It has a short muzzle and a blocky looking head. I have pictures of all of these coyotes if anyone is interested.

White diamonds on the foreheads of coyotes are not from breeding with dogs. These coyotes have gone through evolution like stage. They have heard your pleas and now sport "Aiming Dots" for guy's with 17HMR's. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Tagged a male yote today. I talked to the farmer/landowner. He said, "He's seen a VERY large "rust-colored" one this last couple of years". Farmer said, "its" as big as a wolf" I said, "Thats probably the coydog, I seen last winter by your farm". Hoping to see him this winter, to unleash Charlene on his carcass. I guess him to weigh 60-70lbs...We'll see, hopefully.
 
This thread is like a bad case of VD or something... you think it's gone but it just keeps coming back.

Skinner I think you may be onto something, our whitetails have developed a white diamond in their fur just behind the shoulder blade... I think that evolved shortly after the 4-10 shotgun was introduced as a legal deer weapon in the state a few years ago. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
