Do we have any scotch drinkers?

When the pockets are deep, heavily peeted Islays are my favorite. Everyday scotch on the rocks, Famous Grouse, Famous Grouse Smokey Black, and Ballentines. When on a budget Old Smuggler and Dewars.
My wife and I used to have a single scotch and chips at 4 PM and sit and talk about what's happening. Due to meds we've had to switch to pop and chips.
At social functions a dirty gin martini is easier to find than a scotch. You should never drink on an empty stomach, you can eat the olive first.

i like Macallan 18
I wouldn't call myself a Scotch drinker. I'm too much of a combined brokeazz and Scotch snob. Can't afford to drink Scotch I like, so I hardly ever drink Scotch. But yeah, when it comes my way, I do very much enjoy that Macallan 18.
This one was gifted to me by a buddy I took out into the Maze for his first time one year. Montecristo White went mighty fine with it.

true story.
i just spent 30 days in Arizona. our daughter had her first child, we stayed and helped out. her in laws invited us over for dinner and my son in law graciously said how i like scotch.
as luck would have it they had an almost new bottle of Macallan 18 that was gifted to them by a client. they tried it and cant understand who would like scotch, or any liquor.
they like wine
SO....they offered to let me try. we had dinner several more times during our stay and when i left for home, they had about 150.00 bottle left

I like Bastille 1789, it’s alittle more wallet friendly than Balvenie, but taste is similar…it’s around $55-60/bottle.
We traveled to Scotland in 2019 and did a Whisky distillery tour, saw the World’s largest collection of Whisky, which was insanely impressive, it’s basically in a giant bank vault, and lastly did an extensive tasting, there are taxi cabs happily waiting outside for when you are done.
