This doe may be the same one that I met last year. I say that because she seems to have little fear of me being in the backyard, while she's just inside the woods. I can wave my hand at her, in a tail wagging motion, while making a bleating sound and she steps a little closer.....just like last year.
Last fall, while I was bowhunting, she would see me walking in the woods and promptly snort and run off. All I had to do was make a bleating sound and she'd stop and come back to within 15 to 20 yards of me. I'd stand there picking leaves off of a plant and she became curious as to what I was eating. She would sniff the air and get closer, but wouldn't run off. I'd eventually walk away and she'd stand there and watch me.
