Switching from a non adjustable gas block to an adjustable one. Does this affect sight in point from the non adjustable gas block ? Or can it change accuracy all together Thanks .Dan

This is always a maybe. Weight location can always come into play. The one that is most drastic not a GB, many times, is adding or changing a muzzle device. I have seen little report of issues in the swapping of GBs.

My BTE's that are adjustable vs. non are so close to weight and size as to be virtually identical. In my sets up it would not be a biggy. That being said I have some HUGE JP's that are adjustable and when I switch them over to the BTE lo-pro adjustables I expect to be doing some tuning of my loads.

It'll be interesting to see what you all get for answers on this.

I think anything that changes or redirects gas pressure/s would have some affect. Is it enough to change POI, I'm not really sure but if it is, it'll certainly be more noticeable the further out you shoot.

from personal experience, i can say that it absolutely changes point of impact. the block itself i think has very little to do with it. it is the amount of gas that will have a great effect on point of impact.
to prove it to yourself, take a rifle with an adjustable gas block and set your zero. then close the gas block 1/2 turn at a time and shoot groups at each setting, then go back the other way and open it up all the way. on 3 different rifles i have had point of impact changes up to 2" at 100 yards, on all the rifles, the change was significant. one was a 24" barreled ar-10, the other two were ar-15's in 223.

I had a load I was working on and changed my GB out for a JP AGB. My group just went all over the place after the change out.. Start over again I have to do.. Thanks all. Dan
