It looks like a real nice vest and i found it for a reasonable price online. My only question is did they come out with more than one model of it or is there only one?
This one is cheap

but it looks different than this one

Any info is appreciated. Also if there are any foxpro dealers on here that sell these vests and the NIMH 8AA charger kit for the foxpro firestorms I would gladly be willing to purchase it from you. Thanks Alot fellas

Only one model from FoxPro , There was however some issues with the stitching on the first ones to come out ( China).
The current vests are all made in the U.S.A. That being said I have Two of the first edition vests ( my Son and I both wear them ) And we have no problems with them at all . Lose threads just dont seem to be a huge issue to me . the vest is a great addition to my other Equipt. I can leave all my stuff in the vest so that when i go calling all i have to remember is my gun , ammo , and sticks . Well worth the money in my mind. Hope this helps , Jerry .

I've admired the Foxpro vests for some time now, but I don't have one.

I DO, however, use an FLC courtesy of Uncle Sam via the Army Navy store. The gear we're outfitting our troops with (molle/pals) is incredibly versatile and adaptable. I have two FLC vests (Fighting Load Carriers, very similar to the old ALICE packs from 'nam era, but equipped with PALS), one in desert cam and one in ACS. Most of the pack stays loaded at all times (rangefinder, binos, field dressing tool, flashlight, rubber gloves, etc etc), then the lower left side I can remove and replace different "kits" according to what I'm hunting, be it turkey, deer, hogs, etc. Of course, ONE of the packs (the desert cam) stays loaded for coyotes, although I do have a coyote "kit" for my ACS FLC. Only one pack that is quickly converted depending on whichever hunt I might be going on.

I added a padded foam seat that's meant to hang from your belt. All the attributes of the Foxpro vest, but better versatility, and a lower purchase price.

I used to use fishing vests, surplus ALICE packs, turkey vests, you name it, but now that our troops are using MOLLE kits, I never have any reason to pack and un-pack, or move gear from one rig to another. Three or four quick snaps with the PALS and I'm ready to hunt new game.

I absolutely HATE having gear on my back. If I need it while hunting, it needs to be accessible. If I don't need it while hunting, I don't need to be carrying it.

The two you have links to look the same, the first one is just folded together a little and the picture is darker. The one might be the old stock that is made in China. Take a look at www.Allpredatorcalls.com they are a sponsor here and sell everything you will need for coyote hunting including the vest and charger. They are also an official Foxpro dealer. I doubt that black bear sporting goods is.

For the record, the left "coyote pack" is fully loaded, ready to walk out the door for a set. The right pack is my "other game pack," and is empty in the pic, got washed after spring turkey season (right breast is empty for my bow string clearance), about to get loaded up for archery deer season that starts next week.

In my Coyote pack:

Upper right breast: The double 40mm pyrotechnic grenade pouch holds a wind meter and small LED light (3 function, white, red, and "blood light).

Right waist-line: 3 mag shingle takes my wallet and Iphone (threw a couple stitches in the pouch midway down to keep it from sinking to the bottom), 3rd slot is empty, or takes an AR mag for balance, or 00buck shells on a homemade shellholder. The Canteen pouch holds rubber gloves, snickers bars, bottle of water. Mag pouch in the middle takes my padded coyote drag. The mag pouch near the center is empty.

Left breast: Grenade pouch holds a rangefinder, the other (green) grenade pouch holds my blackberry (work phone). There's also a pocket knife tucked in the webbing.

Left wasitband: 3 mag shingle with 2 AR mags and a Foxpro remote underneath a canteen pouch that holds a foxpro Spitfire, one mag pouch holds a blackjack decoy motor unit and stake, and the grenade pouch holds the blackjack decoy "head".

Padded seat is hard to see on both. Folds up between my back and the vest while walking, flips down to sit. Usually I'm too lazy and just leave it flopped down while I'm walking too.

The one on the right is set up pretty similarly. The right breast is empty because I was using it during turkey season with my bow (left handed).

When set up for turkeys: the left waistband holds pot calls in the canteen pouch and diaphragm calls on the sides of the canteen, then box calls in the 3 mag shingle behind it. Rangefinder and LED light (blood light) on left breast. Right side canteen pouch holds my release, rubber gloves, allen wrenches, string wax, etc. Shingle on the right side holds my wallet and Iphone. Right side mag pouch holds turkey drag.

When deer hunting, the right side stays the same, but I change out the right side for my "deer stuff" (bleat can in a grenade pouch, grunt call in a mag pouch, etc). Also on the right side is my holster for my revolver, should I be carrying it (usually do during firearm deer season).

I change things around a bit between bow hunting and rifle hunting, but mostly that's about string clearance.

Both have a long narrow "bag" along the rear waist line too. It will hold umbrella blinds pretty handy, or bottles of water, etc. Both will also take a Camelback on the rear chassis as well.

I put anything I'd use during a hunt under a snap or a buckle (grenade pouches, 3mag shingles, canteen pouches). Stuff that would be after the shot, or at the truck can be under velcro (the single mag pouches, sides of canteen pouches).

I have around $175-225 in both rigs, including all of the "spare parts" I have to make interchangeable "kits". I use 3 mag shingles as the "chassis" for each kit, then load the shingle and the front pouches mounted on it with specific stuff.

The best part of vests like this, or the Foxpro vest, or the Cabelas vest, is that everything is up front and accessible. No loading anything in your backpack where you can't reach it, or loading stuff in pockets on your coat or pants. Throw it on and go hunt. I leave mine loaded all year round.

I've also got two of the FURTAKERS vests and love them. Couldn't imagine hunting without one now. Just FYI, one model, two different camo patterns available. Mossy Oak Brush and Kings Snow Shadow. Well worth the money IMO.

Varminterror,
I like the set up. I have a chest rig that I got off of Ammazon. I am in the process of setting it up. It has 3 double AR mag holders on each side plus the pals webing. I only use 2 of the 6 mag holders for mags the others hold the small miscilanious stuff,a GPS, set of pruning shers, small saw. I also bought an admin poudh to put the small stuff in, wind puff bottle, compas, car keys, license, calls and remore for the foxpro. Need to pick up 1 small pouch for the fox pro and it should be set. I did have to make some adjustments for size. ( I am one of the plus sized models) I added some adjustment straps to the front and one the sides I added longer straps as well as some horizontal platforms to extend the sides. Once I have it set up I will post a pic.

Oak,

Sorry for hijacking your thread, but due to popular demand:

I bought all of my kitting at our local Army/Navy shop in Wichita (Alpha One Drop Zone), but there are tons of places online that have them.

Midway has a pretty good selection of FLC's, tac vests, and MOLLE/PALS components. Most of the commercial vests, or ANY of the plate carriers (offer better coverage than the FLC's usually) are REALLY expensive, but the FLC harnesses (what I use) are really cheap.

Fighting Load Carriers at Midway

The stripped FLC is $15, the "loaded" FLC is out of stock right now, but for $50 it comes with almost all of the same components I have on mine.

MOLLE components at Midwayusa

Midway has a ton of stuff. I don't usually go through them, since we have an army/navy store in town.

One part I really like are the grimlok carabiners. They attach to the molle web, then snap-lock closed over a push button. A bit of paracord and I can snap up to a coyote and drag hands-free, and they don't rattle around or get turned the wrong way like a normal carabiner might.

The FLC's are incredibly adjustable. The waist band could get almost TWICE as long as what I wear mine at, and the harness over the shoulders can get much much longer as well.

Right now I'm working on a ghillie poncho (much like the cobra hoods) that mounts via snaps to the FLC to convert the harness chassis to a more "clothing like" garment, and add concealment to convenience. Got a BDU jacket for $5, a $15 volleyball net at walmart, and a few spools of jute and RIT dye from the hobby store.

If you could post me some pics of what you're making I'd like to try the same thing. Those Cobra Hoods are great, but too rich for my blood.

Will do. I'm leaving in the morning for work through the weekend, then our deer season opens monday (archery), but I'll send you some pics when I get back around next week.
