Dog food in a corn feeder

I have been thinking of trying to use a Moultrie deer feeder with dog food in it to bait coyotes in a pasture I can see from my kitchen window. Anybody ever tried it ?
 
It would probably work fine. A few years ago my wife dumped about a pound of dog food out behind our fence and probably 15 minutes later we has a coyote there eating it. It will also attract raccoons. I catch most of my coons with dog food around the house.

and skunks, possums, birds, pigs, fox and other neat targets.
