truly, this is a burger idea that is only limited by your personal creativity and taste buds. feel free to adapt this freely! i dont think i've ever made these the same twice.
Burgers: place all ingredients in a bowl and mix thoroughly. then form into patties and grill.
1½ lbs hamburger
2-4 tbsp finely minced onions
1-2 tsp finely minced garlic
italian herb blend
cracked black pepper
sea salt
splash of soy
splash of teriyaki
while the burgers are grilling, carmelize in a saute pan the following (if you have a side burner on your grill even better)
½ - vidalia onion, julienned
4 oz mushroom blend - shiitake, oyster, crimini
1 tsp - minced garlic
sea salt & cracked pepper
italian herb blend
olive oil
when the onions and mushrooms are nicely caramelized and the burgers are ready, top them with your saute pan of deliciousness
add on the cheese of your choice put your rolls on the bun warmer rack, reduce heat and melt cheese and warm/toast buns
i found some nice pretzel buns at the store & decided to top these with mild cheddar
spread with some guacamole and serve!
kettle chips complimented this nicely.
