I've got three and they're all real shooters. Do yourself a favor and get a JP trigger kit and work the trigger and its just as good a gun as any for hundreds less.

Was just in the local gun shop and they had a DPMS upper for 600 something. Better by that one if you still can.

BTW I have 2 DPMS rifles and they both shoot less than MOA.

Any comments on the Oracle version versus the Sportical? Pretty much the same quality or not?

I have a oracle upper and it shoots great. Good enough my dad bought up one too. I believe the difference between the 2 uppers is the forward assist and shell deflector. I assume the barrels are the same, but not positive on that.

Guess it depends on what you're going to do with it. I wouldn't mind shooting varmints or tin cans with it. I certainly wouldn't bet my life on it though.

I've been shooting one in action competitions for years...Very accurate and reliable....And yes,,I would bet my life on it...
