I have the AP4 model.
I took a look at the B model...I like the compact hunter better. Not sure if I care for the elevated optic platform, plus I prefer the dust cover/forward assist(just my preference, even though one experience with the f. assist caused more grief than anything
)
I suppose it depends on what the rifles intended purpose will be.

I own the LR-308 heavy barrel. Even though my state is in the stone ages and don't allow us to hunt with the AR platform yet I use it for target practice. Very happy with mine. Shoots good at 500 yds. In my opinion the dust cover and forward assist are useless. After first shot the dust cover isn't there anyways and like Hooked said, the FWD assist can cause more grief than good. If the cartridge won't go into the chamber from the spring then something is interfering and should be ejected and looked at to see what the problems.

It amazes me how grown men can get in little pissing contests over something very simple as answering a mans question or pass on advice based on your own personally experience without judgement. It reminds me of my inlaws when they come over for the holidays.

Thanks Mark, I'm still trying to decide.My commie state has the most stupidest laws on Ar's, for example AR 15's are regulated but the same one thats a h-bar isn't. AR 10 are not regulated at all, go figure. Seems to me that the price are going sky high and the inventories are empty. as for the pizzing match, i decided just to inquire elsewhere for opinions.
