DPMS Sportical

Not a coyote but the Sportical will work for one. There have been a few threads recently on the Sportical. They are rugged, reliable, accurate and inexpensive by AR standards. We shoot reloads primarily with bullets appropriate to the game. Have not had any problems with ours. TnTnTn

I posted a while back that I had just bought a DPMS Sportical, my 1st AR, & discovered a week later that it was actually a 'Oracle' model. I'm kinda slow at such things[xcitment] but mine has a bolt cover, assist & a shell deflecter which are the only differences I can see.
Gettin back to the post, I have to say I'm well pleased with it & really see no advantage to bolt assist & bolt cover but do see a use for shell deflecter as I shoot southpaw.

No experience in the field but its a great rifle at the range. Some guys dont care for the DPMS rifles but I think they are right there with the rest of them.

DPMS makes some fine AR rifles and the sportical is a good all around gun.
I just don't know why they named it that, it should just be a carbine. I know they say that it bridges the gap between sporting and tactical rifles but that name just cracks me up...

First DPMS kill. Think it was April when I got it.

Put an offset mount and red dotted this one.

I haven't had any missfeeds or jams. I keep it clean and the bolt oiled. I'm happy with it so far. If you're hunting with this, go for a two point sling. I think a single point won't serve you well.
