You're not the last one. I take all my fur and either tan it or sell it.I may be the last remaining hide hunter. Maybe someday fur will make a comeback and I will be rich. Or maybe I will have a lot of worthless pelts. Either way these coyotes out here have spectacular coats in the winter. That's why I drag them. It's really a shame nobody wants fur anymoreView attachment 34001View attachment 34000
I didn't used to think they did until I shot one that was eating a coyote I'd killed the day before. There was a heavy concentration of coyotes in that area, not very many rabbits or anything else around. So they probably ate whatever they could get.I don't think coyotes eat coyotes.
Man... your pictures make me want to buckle down and buy a fur gun.I may be the last remaining hide hunter. Maybe someday fur will make a comeback and I will be rich. Or maybe I will have a lot of worthless pelts. Either way these coyotes out here have spectacular coats in the winter. That's why I drag them. It's really a shame nobody wants fur anymore.
Man, I'd love to have a need for a jet sled, but never an issue for me. I'm lucky to get the occasional double. I've got 1 triple and came back to get them with the Can Am the next morning.more than 3 I pull the sled out and collect in one run.
Ran a few baits with neck snares for a few years (legal here in Canada) most times there was no issue with coyotes being eaten but twice I had baits where another coyote was purposely walking around chewing on other coyotes instead of the butcher scraps and dead cows at the bait not 100 yards away.I don't think coyotes eat coyotes.
I didn't think so either till last week when I shot one in front of the house. I shot another one the next day eating off it's carcass.I don't think coyotes eat coyotes.
