Dykem

I went to 5 auto parts stores (Carquest, AutoZone, NAPA and a couple of others), Tractor Supply, and an equipment supply store today looking for Dykem.

The only guy who even acted like he knew what it was, was the guy at AutoZone. Needless to say none of them had any.

I guess I will have to try and order some on-line somewhere.

You want aerosol or brush on.................we use it here in the shop all the time.

It's not for auto work. It is layout fluid for steel workers. You can order it online at www.grainger.com and have it shipped to your house.

yellowhammer, I did a quick search and there is a Grainger located in Beaumont Tx, about 97 miles from Huntington. Depending on where your travels take you, you could pick it up there.

Sounds like skb is going to hook you up, but I got some off e-bay. Cheap. About a dollar an ounce.

I found some on this site. We use the brush on application, usually about two coats depending on how bright the light is.

When I ordered mine from Grainger, the salesman gave me that same puzzled look.

I bought a spray can of Dykem from Grainger for $10. The guy asked where I worked,and my outfit had an account. I sprayed it on a million candlepower rechargeable light I bought from GM for $10. $20 bucks invested for a great handheld red lens light !!!
