Eabco savage pre fit barrels

Hey guys. I'm sending in my savage axis to Eabco to have them fit a 204 ruger barrel. I'd like to know if anyone else here has an experience with these barrels? Thanks in advance

Matt

They make good parts but I have heard zero on the gunsmith side. Are they going to do some tune up or just do a barrel swap?

I have never anything bad about their barrels. I would buy a 6.5 barrel if they didn't use too slow a twist in them (1 in 9). Rebarreling a Savage is a piece of cake. I put a .204 factory take off on a Model 11 .223 myself. All it takes is an action wrench and either a vise or an action wrench.

You need to pick up some cheap tools. A whole new world opened up when I got my first Savage. I have one that has gone from 300 Win Mag to 6X45 in only a few minutes. Easy as pie.

Heard they shoot fine when someone a long time back got one for his truck gun.
You can save yourself $$$ by doing the swap at home. Nothing to it, no special expensive tools either. All can be bought at midwayusa.
