I don't belong to any other rifle forums so this is why im posting this here and let me say up front that i am skeptical of possibly "getting", not buying, a Dale Earnhardt remington 700 30.06.
I say possibly because i am selling a set of aftermarket wheels for about $800 on craigslist. This guy emails me and asks if i would be willing to trade sporting firearms for the wheels, so i say, yes, depending on what you have.
After two weeks he finally emails me back today and says he has a NIB DE remington 700 30.06 he would trade me. He did not say whether it is an adl, sps, or bdl but i did a search and you can get this gun in those furnishings. My research showed that the gun is selling anywhere from 420 to 600 NIB depending on who is selling it. I was thinking about countering his offer with him pitching in $150-$200 on top of the trade.
Is this a gimick type gun or is it the same quality as any other 700? It wouldn't be my primary shooter and i may even use it to trade on a 22-250 that i've been wanting. If i did keep it the DE sticker would be gone ASAP
