Watched it today! It's the real deal alright! Very informative. Brent tells it like it is here in the east. Great down to earth and back to the basics style video. Brent, Got mine today and watched it also. You did a nice job. Not only did you teach me a thing or two, you reinforced some basic tactics that I have been doing, but was not sure if I was doing them right.

Your howls sound superb. I always wondered what your yip howl sounded like.

The video is paying off already!!!! I watched the video today and you said that when trying to locate you stayed at each spot 25 min. I hadn't been staying that long and tonight it proved to be the reason I hadn't been hearing as many coyotes as I should be.
I was all fired up after watching it so, I went and picked up my grandfather and we went to see if we could locate any. The second place we stopped I got a group fired up but, only after waiting 10-15 min. If I hadn't watched your video, I would have been on my way to the next spot when these coyotes howled back! I always thought they would respond like turkeys, almost immediate. I was wrong! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif
This is the first time my 82 year old grandfather had ever heard a group of coyotes. It was really still tonight and they were only a few hundred yards away so he got to hear them very well!
I'm sure as I watch the video over and over I'll pickup more good tips. I'm going in there tomorrow morning and see if I can call one in!

I am thinking the postal workers have figured this out. Yep, they are stealing the videos /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif They watch them then repackage and ship them on to the destination later, all under the excuse it is Christmas.

Those segments where you were howling to the coyotes and they were howling and yipping back were so neat. You looked so calm and collected kneeling there. I would have had a wet knee. I would have wet my self and been kneeling in a puddle. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Lots of good info, I liked how you filmed scouting new areas and showed where you would set up and why, and then filmed hunts in those spots.

I enjoyed your video. Lots of information! I am still tying to kill my first one in PA.
When your yip howling to locate them, about how long to you actually howl at them? About as long as you did in the video?
I never stayed to listen for a response for more than 5 or 10 minutes while trying to locate them. I'll start giving them a little more time.

I usually yip howl about as long as I did in the video, maybe just a little longer. It is nice if you have a partner and get both howlers going at the same time, but one will work just as well.

Let us know when you get that fist one! Hang though it will all come togeather soon!

Question for ya.

The powder in you little wind direction detector. Do you use a talcum powder? Is it unsented? Or what type of powder do you use?

I have been thinking of something like that for a while. I wanted to to use while hunting deer also.

I wonder if plain ol white flower from the kitchen will work?
