Electronic Caller for Prairie Dogs?

I tried it along with decoys and never seen a dog resurface!

get a mouse squeker, that is what I use. It will put them more at ease thinking that the other prairiedogs are out of their holes.

The places I shoot them don't require a "call". Its been my experience that prairie dogs have a memory shorter than the current administration. Drive up, take your time, relax for a few minutes and don't make alot of noise. They will forget you are there. Shoot a few, they will re-aquire the knowledge that you are there.......in a nano-second.

I had a guy tell me once he used a badger skin on an RC truck. All the dogs popped out of their holes because they din't want to get trapped by a badger in their hole. Don't know about that story. I still have one legg longer that the other.

All you have to do is pull up in your vehicle, set out your gear, open a water bottle and quietly whisper "Suns Out" and they will all pop up to take advantage of the sun....

If you can position yourself where you are down wind, and 90 degrees to the direction of the sun, they will never know you are there...

My Goldfish have longer memories than a PD... (30 seconds)...

I take along a small reed call that I just blow an all clear after 5 minuets seems to work, but not all the time. I also have a mouse squeaker that I tap.
I think they have longer memories than 30 seconds since when they see a vehicle they go down for a LOOOONG time, then when they do come out they are staying right at the holes and laying very low.

You need to differentiate between adults and pups here. An old adult will get as skittish as he11 after a little shooting. A pup, on the other hand, will be back up in 30 seconds or less. That's why they have such a high mortality rate.

I don't believe in calling.

If you try to drive up to a town with your big dually truck with radio blaring, slam all the doors and make lots of noise followed by the muzzle blast of a 17-50BMG, you won't see many PD's. Calls or not.
