Electronic reloading scales

Why, you have a great scale.

I was at that point once, I think the e-scale is at the bottom of a drawer somewhere.

I haven a hard time trusting something I can't see work and have to calibrate every time I use it. My old balance scales are reliable and need little adjustment.

I am tempted by an electronic dispenser but I'm sure I would be constantly double checking it with a balance scale.

I hope you can find a good e-scale you have faith in.

I got tired of having to throw light and trickle to weight and then having the e-scale have issues or need calibrated again. I was using the dillon scale.

Since switched to the rcbs charge master supreme dispenser scale. So far im much happier.

Cheapy little Franklin Armory electronic has served me well for 15 years. I'm not super critical on my loads but no problems yet. I;ve got a little Hornady trickler somewhere haven't used for years.

I read about that scale today keep me posted on it!

I've got 2 RCBS Chargemaster electronic dispensers. Since I started using them I wouldn't be without them. Once you've confirmed the drop weights a few hundred times with a balance beam and realize there weren't any discrepancies between the two you'll feel much more comfortable with the electronics.

That makes sense Don, Thanks

I just wonder if having a super accurate charge down to one kernel of powder would make any improvement in your groups. The main reason I reload is to find that load that gives me bragging 5 shot groups. I do realize that there have been a lot of days when I shot a lot better than other days. I felt it and noticed it

I doubt if 1 kernel will make much difference in your groups but being able to have +-.02 gr accuracy sure reduces your sd and es. Pretty tough to get anymore accurate than that unless you start cutting kernels in half. 1 kernel of H1000 weighs .04 gr

Callingyotes. Yes your correct thats what I have been reading velocities that very by less than 10 fps shot to shot makes a difference

a&d 120 v3 with ingenuity trickler. They are game changing
The only thing that I wonder about with these advanced electronics is longevity and accuracy. Time will tell. The electronics in Leupold Range finding binoculars have a two year warranty I believe because of the dependability issues

buy once, cry once
the 120s are expensive. but it was worth it for my ocd.
i eventually want a AT but just hand trickling for now

If it did make a difference, that would be way too picky of a load, or rifle, for me to want to mess with. But I don't weigh most of my loads, just throw charges with the powder dump, so... For the distances I shoot at, there's no point worrying about lowering ES or SD or any of that. They are low enough to work for me with thrown charges.

Of which you won't notice much , if any significant difference difference/ improvement until you get out past 5-600 yrds and shooting multiple times.

My RCBS units are a few years old, and I've had no issues at all. Unlike Poppers my Franklin Intellidropper went bad after 3 months. Bought it after my first RCBS because it was cheaper. FWIW I emailed Franklin and they told me to do whatever with the old one and sent me a new one. So I gave the new one and the old one to a friend of mine and bought my second RCBS. No issues with that one either. He uses it pretty infrequently but it's still running. The RCBS units dispense slowly. The Franklin was much faster. But then the Franklin is gone and the RCBS are still dispensing.

I’ve been running mine for 6-7 years with 100% reliability and an average of 7800 rifle rounds per year loaded on it.

I like reloading but I also prefer to make every step in it as efficient, and accurate as possible. The a&d scale has proven to be fantastic by thousands of competitions shooters. There are certain things in the reloading room that just make your life easier and this is one of them. The Henderson trimmer is another.

I’d like to state that this is not the average of my shooting capabilities but if there were issues with the scale i wouldn’t be running it. Once i switched to this scale my group got smaller and my agg for my rifles were smaller across the board. Here are groups from my 25x47, 6bra, 300 Norma, 45 cal smokeless muzzleloader all loaded with the scale
