Experiences with the rage broadhead

I use to be a G5 Montec guy and before that a NAP Spitfire guy. I quit using the Spitfires because they can and will deflect on quartering shots. I got a hold of the Grim Reaper video prior to Elk season this year and decided I would give the mechanicals another try. The Reapers blades are set back away from the tip much further than the Spitfires which will prevent deflection. The Reapers shot same point of impact as my field points. I ended up killing two elk with my bow this year, both with the Grim Reapers. One was a big mature dry cow and the other was a decent 5X5 bull. Both were angled shots but the bull was a very steep angle. Both would have easily zipped right through but both lodged deeply in the off shoulder bone. The wound channels were absolutely devastating.

A friend of mine shot a 340 bull with his bow using the 3 blade Rage and had great results. I have heard too many horror stories to try them especially the 3 blade model. I will stick to Grim Reapers.
