ok im sory if this has been asked on here before but im having more than a TOUGH time exracting shells from my .204, this is a brand new rifle TC just shipped me. after the shot i have to basically use every ounce of force i can come up with just to pull the bolt back.
these are with Hornady 40gr Vmax, which shot perfect out of my other gun.
any suggestions?

thanks fellas

the first 2 i shot were reloads from my other rifle, second 2 were factory. sorry i shouldve stated that.

should i try a different ammo?

I had this exact problem with the one I had in 22-250. Called tc and they took it in for some work. After I got it back it worked w/o a hiccup.

Maybe headhunter204 will chime in, he's the one who bought the rifle After I decided I no longer needed it

Had the exact same problem with a TC Icon in 308 Winchester last year. Shipped the rifle back to TC and they replaced it with a brand new rifle, no questions asked. The replacement rifle has worked flawlessly. Here is a pic of what the fired cases looked like from the old rifle:

I had a similar problem to that with a Vanguard in 300 WSM, it turned out to be a burr in the chamber. The gunsmith polished the chamber and it works great now. With mine it took every bit of strength to lift the bolt even with a mild load.

FWIW, I got through to TC's customer service the quickest by calling at 8 AM, eastern time.

they seem ok at best so far to be honest with ya. my first venture i had, the camo peeled off the barrel and that is why they sent me this new one. took 8-9 weeks to get it though. kinda dont wanna go through that again

ok now its getting frustrating. ready for a new rifle, not thrilled with TC at this point. i think its more Smith&Wesson but either way im not happy and should be out droppin dawgs!

They gave me the runaround for 4-5 months. Not only that they lied to me. Told me my extractor was shipped twice, then told me that whoever told me that lied because the rifle had to be picked up and sent it for extractor work

Hope you get everything sorted out

This is the second rifle I've gotten. First one the camo peeled off of and had issues opening the bolt. Took 9 weeks to get this new rifle, got it, had extraction problem, still waiting....

Just would like it to be resolved soon so I can continue this years flinging of ammo!

Looks like Smith and Wesson has successfully ruined the customer service of a good company.
