Does anybody have any info on the "Phantom Call? Made by Extreme Diminsion, using sounds by ProSoundfx. Seems to have a good feature allowing the playing of two sounds at the same time. Is this needed or not? Thank you, Hoot Gibson

I was OK when I got up this morning but I soon got over it.

Welcome to the board Hoot!

You might use the search engine to search this forum and maybe the Predator Hunting forum for "phantom". You're sure to find opinions. My brother owned a Phantom (recently sold it). We used it a few times. I don't like it. The sound loops are horrible. Just didn't like the sounds that came out of the thing. This is just my opinion of course.

Again, welcome. You're sure to enjoy yourself here. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Welcome, Hoot! If you don't mind me asking, where are you from? I'm asking this because my father used to do some work with a man by the name of Hoot Gibson. He was an attorney that also ranched.

Again, welcome. These boards are priceless for getting good, solid info. on all aspects of predator calling.

God Bless,

Rusty Holt

Welcome to PM Hoot...

As far as your question about the two sounds... Well, there are several hundred thousands of coyotes that came to only one sound at a time. So as far as "needing" two sounds, no sir. The luxury of having two sounds simultaneously could make for some interesting hunting though... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Rusty Holt, I am from Kingsville, Tx. Right smack dab in the middle of some of the biggest O&G production in Tex. None on my land but plrnty within looking distance. Sure lots of game around here. Where I live I have a common fenceline with the King ranch [1/2 mile]. Have never done any calling but am looking forward to doing so. Sinc., Hoot G.

Hoot...I`m a new member catching up on some old threads. I am primarily a hand caller but did own a Phantom predator call for two years...used it some the first year and no luck, all my yotes were brought in by a mouth call, using both distress and howls usually. The second year I never took it out once because it made such a pathetic rabbit in distress sound and howl that I figured it probably scared more dogs off than it would ever bring in. Finally sold it (for half of what I paid)...the two sounds at once feature was nice, if only the sounds were good in the first place. My 2 cents-GB
