Favorite AR scope mount and/or rings??

Hey all, I just got my new Rock River complete upper. I've been using the ARMS #5 base on most of my ARs. Thinking about something different this time. Maybe a QD type. Any favorites you fellas recommend?

I have switched over to the Leupold QRW rings. They are about .030" higher than the rings I had been using and I like the way they hold the scope. The ring is not divided in half. The bottom is about 1/3 of the 1" circle and the top is 2/3. This way when you loosen the screws, the scope can be moved without scratching it. Spendy, but great rings.

I tried to get by with some standard 50mm rings setting on my flat-top upper, but it didn't work out. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif
I recently purchased the High Rise 1 Piece Mount, for my RRA A4 and I love it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif It's $47 on RRA's web site, $41 on Adco Firearms' web site, but I found it at a local gun shot for $29. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Armalite one piece mount, detach and return to zero, same plane as iron sights, extends the scope out for more eye relief.

It is a simple procedure to resize pictures. Your hosting site should have directions. If not there are some in the pictures forum.

For carry handle mounting the ARMS is the best. For flat top models, I use Precision Reflex on my serious rifles. They have hex head nuts and are put on using a torque wrench. General purpose, I use the Warne Quick Detach. All are in the high configuration.
 
Dtech and Gary Paugh......I sent both of you a PM during the past week about the rings you are using on your AR's and I never got a PM back from either of you. That was the first time I have used the PM feature since the board switched to the new software. Just wondering if either of you received my PM and if you replied. If you did, then I'm obviously having a problem receiving PM's from members. Thanks!

Nic I sent you a PM i realy like warne QD rings they rezero very well I use them with 40mm scopes they are AR height rings.

Gary, thanks for the reply. I never received your PM. I think RiverRunner has gotten my PM problems fixed now though.

I'm using either an extended rail such as the Accuracy Speaks extended 20MOA taper rail w/ Badger Ord. rings or the ARMS quick release base/rings. You can sort of see the ARMS mount/rings on the 16" on top.

These have proven to be my favorite configurations as of late. However, they're both pretty spendy.
