Barnes for any and all big game, plus the 45gr XLC in the 22 Hornet for coyotes.

For coyotes, Hornaday in the 243's and Nosler's in other 22cals.

I voted for Barnes and Sierra but have loaded a lot of good bullets over the past 45 years. I am at a point now where I know what works for me, what I like and don't experiment any more for the most part.

In my varmint rifles it would be as follows:

In my 220 Swift, my favorite go to bullet is the Sierra #1390 55 gr HPBT.

In my 243 Win, my favorite go to bullet is the Barnes 80 gr TTSX.

In my 17 Rem, my favorite go to bullet is the Hornady 25 gr HP (not made any more but I have a lifetime supply).

In my 222 Rem, my favorite go to bullet is the Barnes 36 gr Varmint Grenade but also like the Nosler 40 gr Ballistic Tip.

For my 223, my favorite go to bullet is the Sierra #1390 55 gr HPBT.

In my 22WMR, my favorite go do bullet is the Winchester 40 gr HP (obviously don't load for this one but it is what I use).

55 gr vmax for my 223s
52 gr berger and sierra for my 220 swift
Mostly berger and sierra in my 7mm and 30 cals for big game with the occasional barnes thrown in for the tough stuff.
Have tried most every brand at one time or another over my 45 years of reloading.

For the most part I’m a Berger bullet fan. And have been for along time.

.17 Tactical- the old Berger 25 grain Match bullet. Still have a bunch. But my all time favorite is the 30 grain Kindler golds and I still have a bunch of those too.

.204 Ruger-Berger 35 grain varmint

.222 Remington-Berger 52 grain Target

.22-250 Ackley- either Berger 55 grain Target, or my favorite the 60 grain Varmint

6mm Remington- Berger 80 grain varmint.

Good Hunting Chad
