Favorite camo

A few years ago I was in Cabela's in Penn. and bought a leafy type camo outfit called Seclusion 3D . Over the years I have tried a lot of camo , but this has been my favorite hands down . It is just heavy enough to work in most of the winter here in Va. And light enough to not overheat you 60-70 degree days .
Have had great luck with critters coming very close and not being alarmed . However as with everything someone makes that works they quit making it or stop carrying it . At least I have not been able to find it since , anyone here know who might carry it these days and what are some of your favorite camo's ?

I BELIEVE Seclusion 3d was a Cabelas branded pattern. Seclusion 3d is the pattern of the camo, not the material or makeup of the clothing. Lots of clothing uses the Seclusion 3d pattern.

My personal favorite is Predator Camo in it's various patterns. Blends extremely well for our applications out here. I also like Natural gear and Kings Camo. All very good western patterns.

I typically wear a leafy over whatever I am wearing anyway.
 
Natural gear and Realtree AP has been my go-to for the northeast. I think it simply blends in the best (for my area) without looking out of place or like a giant blob. I've tried natural gear snow camo but found it to be more white than the natural environment, my buddy could spot me through the brush at 100 yards just because it was so white. Not so with the Natty or AP, it really hides your outline well.

Thinking about trying out Sitka Optifade this year, I need some breathable stuff for October/November and into early December. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.

The Cabelas seclusion pattern is alot like King's camo pattern (IMO), check it out you might like it. I love their pattern, have heard mixed results about their product though.

If it's actual clothing your looking for, pay attention to the "water RESISTANT/breathable" vs. "water-PROOF = not-breathable" language. I call my water-proof stuff trashbags because it doesn't let anything in or out, so you'll sweat and it won't dry out. The water resistant stuff will bead-off light rain and breath well, but it does and will get saturated in a steady rain. It gets overwhelming but it's really an either/or, nothing does both.
 
I have some standard Realtree stuff, Cabelas Outfitter, and Mossy Oak Brush. I rarely use the Realtree and almost always wear the MOB or a combination of Outfitter & MOB. I've been looking awful hard at M2D since last year.
 
I have used Natgear for years. My next buy would either be King's Desert Shadow ow Mossy Oak Brush.
The M2D that I have always seen in pictures always looks too bright against the background it is being taken against.
 
I have gone to Kryptek highlander completely over the last couple of years. Its just seems to disappear in the terrain I hunt. (just my 2 cents)
 
Took a look at some of the camp you recommended , some good looking stuff . Hopefully I will make it to Bass Pro in the next week or two and get a hands on look . Nearest Cabelas is several hours away .
Hunting season is looking good this year , I have never had so many bucks on camera in one spot in my life . Want to stack the deck in my favor as much as possible , thanks , Kenneth
 
When photographed in multiple natural settings alongside many other camo clothing articles Mossy Oak Brush prevails.
Shadow grass and Max 5 are not bad.
In some regions one particular camo will do best where it is a poor choice elsewhere.

Isn't it sad that Mossy Oak went away from Brush and now it's getting extremely difficult to find.
 
My calling partner just got the Kuiu Vias and it really brakes up your outline, we call it "mad cow"

Given that the majority of my hunting has always been in pastures (although some have creeks and/or small patches of timber).......

I have always been partial to M.O. Brush.
If I couldn't get bibs or something in that, then, I have used either NatGear or Cabela's Open Country.
A mix of either Brush w/NatGear, or O.Country w/NatGear works well, IMHO, in the sometimes rocky pastures around here.

I like the looks of the M2D camo...as well as the Cabela's ZonZ Westren camo. But, they both came out after health put the crimp in my hunting. So I haven't bothered to get any to try out.
 
My favorite is what looks the coolest. For function I'm perfectly happy with carhart duck color. Camo for coolness id say first lite fusion or kuiu something
 
I used UA snow camo all last winter and found it excellent. The fairly wind resistant and Liquid such as melting snow, rain roll right off and blood washed out without a trace. This year for duck and goose season as well as predator til the snow flies I'm wearing UA ridge reaper the open light pattern breaks up the human outline and blends extremely well in all terrains
 
Guess I'm the odd ball. Use to use wear nat gear exclusively. Now I prefer max 1 for hunting in the sagebrush and junipers.
 
Mossy Oak Brush, Max1, Carhartt. They all work pretty well for me.

I did win a leafy suit in the PM convention raffle in February with a grayish pattern (sorry, don't recall the brand name) that I'll be trying out this year.
