It's been a while since we've had a good hunting pic thread going. Being the dead part of the summer, it would be nice to retreat to cooler days and share some of our favorite pics and the stories behind them.
This first one, while not the best photo it has a lot of meaning for me. My brothers (also my hunting buddies) had moved out of the area due to military assignments. They made it home all at the same time, and we made it out on a calling trip after a short snow fall just before daylight. We drove the roads of our hunting area, cutting tracks in the new snow and calling them. Had a great day.
The second I like, simply becaus I love calling in the fog, due to close encounters and they typically scare the crap out of me, as they show up out of no where. With this particular coyote I had been on stand for about 7-8 mins. I look over my shoulder and about 30 yards away he was staring at me.
lets see and year about your favorites.
