Favorite pig sounds

I have a foxpro hellcat that I have t used much, but finally got a chance last weekend to set up for hogs. We have them bad where o hunt so I set up at used the hurt-n hog sound that came on it. Only thing I got to come in was a bear. He started circling me, so I turned the light on and picked up the caller.
Was going to download some more sounds for it, but wasn’t sure which one. Any recommendations for hog sounds at night time? What’s your favorite?

I’ve called in a few with just regular boar grunts. If you have hogs like you say, your best bet is set up a bait site that you can easily access based on your predominant wind. I monitor mine with cell cameras and can be on the properties and stalking in less than 12 minutes.
If you decide this route, feed heavy and let them visit a couple nights to try and establish a routine. I’ve found when there’s a lot of feed, mine don’t stay long. When they’re coming in regularly and the wind is right I will SCATTER about 10 pounds of corn all around the site. They get greedy then and won’t leave until they get every last kernel.
The best times to attempt calling for me was when I was hearing boar grunts and roars when they’re out looking for a sow.

I am in a parish that has banned feeding, because of CWD. Can’t feed anything grain related. You can put grain in a hog trap, but not outside.

Back several years ago, I was baiting hogs for night hunting, and I would use post hole diggers to dig a hole about 18” deep. Fill with corn and they seemed to stay a while rooting at it.

I tried using a call in various locations last weekend in a place with a ton of hogs and had 0 come in. I tried 6 different thickets and I know for sure there were hogs in there and the wind was good.

I was pretty bummed.

Understand being bummed. No matter what critter I am calling, I want results with action. Hogs can be nomadic like other animals. Since they can smell so good, try changing tactics such as food offerings. The orange flavored or cherry flavored corn can pique their olfactories, or try those kool-aid recipes. Don't forget they can hear too. You could try not calling and wait on them.
I have to tell you, I have set up a feeder with a hunter waiting,,, and the feeder goes off and it might be hours later when one or a bunch shows.
