FAWN distress call

Hey guys,

My goal this year is to arrow a black bear. I plan on setting up a fawn decoy and calling for bears 90% of the time. I need recommendations for a good fawn distress call, that will be loud enough to cover a large area. We cannot use electronic calls here in Montana, so everything has to be some sort of mouth call variation. Thanks!

Contact: Bearmanric. He really likes to bear hunt, uses and makes hand calls. I have several of his calls. Excellent calls and quality.

x2. Rick's calls are nice!

I called one in last year using a dying rabbit call. I can't tell you how many times I struck out, but patience is usually rewarded.

coyote sniper check your local laws we can't bait here in c Colorado but we can gut piles and dead animals that are a part of agriculture operations, dead cows etc most ranchers will tell you if they have any dead and bears are hitting it.

I use Zepps Big Cat Mt Lion & Bear Call. When you start calling blow on it continuously for 45 minutes. Sometimes they come in slow and sometimes they come in running. I’ve called in seven bears and harvest 4 of them. It’s the only way I hunt them. I find a food source or fresh sign in a canyon and start calling it. Here it is prickly pear cactus, they like the fruit off of them. Last years was my best bear yet, jet black 6’3’ from nose to tail and weighted over 400 lbs. That’s a good one for New Mexico. It is an adrenaline rush.
