Feather flex fawn decoy

I have got one but have not tried it yet. Don't know if the critters ae dumb enough to know that there are no fawns this time of year or not. This is a good question??

I have used the fawn decoy on coyotes and it works great. If there is any breeze it will make the decoy move some. I place the speaker under it and when the coyotes see it they usally come on the run.

I also bought one and have not used it yet. I hear that they are effective all year round even though the deer don't have fawns until march. I used just the fawn in distress call, no decoy, the other day and called in two red foxes. Let me know how it works if you use it. Get some yotes!

It has a stake in the center to stand it on. It will afford some movement and you may get it high enough for it to go around. Interesting that they will come to it even though wrong time of the year. May have to try it after all.

I use mine about half the time I go out and have good results with it.
More than once the fawn has had the coyotes full attention focused it instead of me despite the fact I had to move a great deal to get the shot.
A hint: Tape a piece of tissue paper about 2" wide and 4" long to the ears and tail and let them hang down. the smallest breeze will catch the paper and it can be seen at twice the distance. Dave

i have used the deer rear by come~alive decoy products. staked in the ground it is about the same size as a fawn. it's tail wags every 8 seconds making it seem it is not alarmed. combined with my rabbit calls it seems that they come in to the calls but switch gears when they see the small deer that isn't running away. whats nice is that it comes ready to go out of the box. deer rear

bcarter,
Where abouts are you calling in fox? Only place I've been able to find them is up in Star Valley, Wyo.

Ive used the Feather Flex fawn for a while now and have pretty good success with it so far. Ive called in quite a few Coyotes, a few _REALLY_ PO'd muley does and one perverted young bull moose.

Best was the bull moose though, he walked up and nudged it with his muzzle, the decoy fell over and he stood there with this 'Ummmm what ya doin?'
look on his face for a few minutes.
