Federal Premium Magnum Turkey Shotshells ??

I have used these shotgun shells for years (12 gauge 3" # 4 shot). Always been able to either get them at Wally World or Bass Pro, until now. This particular shotshell is not on the shelf at either store now (at least around here). Has anyone else noticed? Seems now it's Winchester brand. Not opposed to what's there, just hard to find the Federals.
Had the same thing happen with handgun ammo (.44 special) a few years back. Used to be able to get PMC anytime at Wal-Mart. Not anymore. Is it a contract thing with these retail chains? I'm sure the online retailers (Midway, Natchez, etc.) carry them, but you pay so much for shipping...

Federal changed the load a year or two back, it now uses the Flite Control wad and is called "Mag Shock with Flite Control." It is a different sort of load from the older version.

Saylor,
Like Levi mentioned, the new load won't be anything like the older load. Flite Control wads are a pain in the rear IMHO to get really good patterns from. They actually probably pattern best from plain old short non-wad stripping full chokes. Many custom turkey choke makers will warn against shooting the Flite Control wads from their wad stripping/ported chokes because of a few cases of bulged barrels when the Flite Control wad acted more like a solid slug instead of a movable fluid shot column when encountering the choke. Bulged barrels or damaged chokes result from this happening. With some thought ahead of time and fiddling with them they can produce good patterns, just not in the same way as we're used to thinking of the old loads. There are so many other good loads out there I just skip them and shoot other shells instead. I have a couple left over boxes of the older loads sitting on a shelf here.
