Feedback on 6X45 cartridge

I have one that I had built on a Rem 600, 22" Pac-Nor barrel. Of all the the rifles I have around here it is my go to rifle for calling. It is very accurate, 3350 fps with 55gr NBT and puts down coyotes right now. Cheap brass very efficiant with small doses of powder and great barrel life, plus with 85gr NPT's or TSX's it will work for deer in a pinch.

AWS, What twist is your barrel

I have a 1:10 Dtech 6x45 upper with a SUM 20" Bull barrel.
I am very pleased with it. I shoot 60-80 grain bullets. The velocity is a little higher than the 223 with the same bullet weight as well it seems to hit harder as it is a larger diameter....but this is hard to prove.

Groups are excellent....shooting at 100 yards, I'm disappointed if all bullets in any shot count group are not touching.

I use primarily Lake City brass sized through a Redding die.
Be careful with military brass, the internal volume is less than commercial brass.

Cat, I am talking about a 223 case necked up to 6MM. BTY that Interarms 223 is shooting so good I can't tear it apart. 10 shot groups at 100 yards are scary.

The 6X45 is made on the 223 Rem case. The 6X47 was on the 222 Rem Mag case. The new 6.5X47 Lapua is an entirely different case as is the necked down version the 6X47 Lapua.

I have a Remington 700 with a 22" Pac-Nor 1in9 twist SS Super Match barrel. I'm shooting the Hornady 65gr V Max bullets at about 3100 fps. Very accurate and puts coyotes down on the spot.

I've got two Dtechs in 6x45. One is a 12 twist 16" HBar and one a 10 twist 20" Shilen bull barrel.

Break-in accuracy was inspiring for both using H322. Going to give them both a good ringing out this weekend @ the farm through a chronograph.
Let you know how they are running...

I think a better question would be.... does anyone have a 6x45 that doesn't shoot well?

Because it is a wildcat cartridge and commercial ammo is not available, most users are experienced handloaders and know how to tune a rifle and cartridge load.

Some would say that the cartridge is accurate because of the people who shoot them, but I have not found an inaccurate load while going through load developement with this little gem.

Wow, you guys got some nice looking hardware here. Thanks for the /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif input
