Female coyote tonight

2nd stand we walked through the gate and as I was closing it my buddy said that there was a coyote in the field. I saw it standing still at about 80-90 yds but his scope needed to be nuced and he could not see it clearly. She started to trot off so we bark stopped her and he was able to shoot. We heard the thump and she dropped but got back up. Several shots, misses and hits later, she finally dropped. She was shot to pieces. We counted at least 3 hits. They are tough.

My last one I shot was a frontal shot that literally went all the way through and blew out his rear end. He dropped like a sack of taters and then picked his head back up only to get another round which finally put him down. That first shot basically gutted it from front to back yet he was still alive. I know heart and lungs had to have been somewhere in that mess.

Tough indeed, just amazes me how much some can take.
