Feral Cats are a legitimate predator!

Hey guys,

I grew up in the country about 200 yards off a main highway (where a city backroad and main highway "Y" was located). Many times, I have seen city people "drop off" pregnant dogs & cats, or sick, or old, or animals with "mange" in front of my house. I like animals...my wife says I get along better with animals than people. May be it's because I was hunting in the river bottoms by myself by 8 years old and have a very good understanding of animals. I feel sorry for these animals and have no remorse in humanly killing them(putting them out of their misery). Growing up in the bottoms, over a mile from any house or road, I have seen many ferral cats and consider them open game. I have watched many predators in the wild and they take no "back seat" to any serious small game predator.

I own a cat and a dog, they have a collar and if someone were to shoot them. I think I would do the same to them. Shooting someones animal is horrible. I shoot FEREl cats, but not house cats. I watched a ferel cat whipe out two of my qual in a pen. I took a stick to it and then dug a hole. I once shot a ferel cat up a tree with my deer gun a .300 mag with bear claws. It looked like a basketball of blood stained on the tree with a bullet in the center. It literally exploded!

I pulled into my driveway today after work /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif just in time to see one of my neighbor's cats laying a pile on my welcome mat in front of my door /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif.------------------Just thought I would throw that in there /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif.
