Finally going suppressed

Never wanted to before, but now my 12 year old grandson wants to hunt.
Bought us a couple Ruger 22 Hornets and 2 Sig Hexium suppressors.
I should be picking them up this week, then getting out just in time for the cool weather. Figure I have plenty of AR's we can use once I have him comftorable wacking dogs with a bolt gun.

WTG!
Here's my grandson with the first coyote he took with the AR that i gave him for Christmas several years ago.
We'll have to meet up with grandsons in tow. Easier said than done now that mine is 19, works operating heavy equipment and has discovered the opposite sex. 🙄

Most don't know this story but Yotehunter6 and i met many moons ago when i was just starting calling. Started communicating here on PM and decided to meet in person. He was from Reno and I from Vegas. We met in the middle at Tonopah. Saw more coyote scat than i had ever seen, then or now, and still couldn't call a coyote that trip.
Shot my first coyote that trip. Victim of opportunity off the side of the road as we were on our way to sight in my rifle that i had just installed a scope in our motel room (The clown motel). What a weird ass dump.
Ken is a good dude.

GOOD to see young ones getting into hunting!!!!!!!! You'll have some great memories to cherish.
I was late coming to the world of suppressors, could give a 1000 reasons why I didn't want one then finally, broke down and got one and I'm still pleasantly surprised and have never had buyers remorse. Have fun!

If I remember correct, that rifle was a NEF 22 Hornet.

It finally came in. Went to the ranch, got a yote Fri with it. Turned the vid on (Rattler IR scope on the 10" AR pistol) to check for flash and smoke when dark. No flash and bang not bad when I took the muffs off! Have the gas turned to max bypass and still get lockback but ejection pretty harsh. Think I still need a flow thru on this one. Originally thought of the Ventium but see there are others that might work too.

Keep in mind not all flow through are created equal. I have a Huxwrks 30 cal flow through on a 6mm wildcat that I cannot back the SA gas block off enough to stop cycling. On the other hand I have Thunder Beast 6mm Spiro on the same gun had to be turned in 5 rounds to get it to lock back on and empty mag. So even though the smaller caliber should have more back pressure than the 30 cal. It does a better job at dumping gas.
