Finally made it past 1000 yards.

I am pretty new to the long range thing and today I set out to shoot past 1000 yards. The farthest I had gone was 776 yards and was hard pressed to find a safe place to push 1000. I decided to load some rounds and go scout some places after I dropped the kids of at school. I finally found an area and the target ended up being 1070 yards on the nose.

The wind was tricky and this group was definitely more luck than skill. I am still wondering how I pulled it off. Luck or not, I had a goal to hit 1000 before it got blistering hot here in AZ and now im happy.

18" wide
20" to the shoulders
26" to the head

Maybe with some more load development you can tighten that group a little.

Yes, this is PM and I will wax any predator that presents a shot......at any distance.

Perhaps this it the first time you ventured from the "predator hunting" section. Many of us have other interests besides killing carnivores.

This the "FIREARMS FORUM". And stuff like this (and any other firearms related topics we post here. There is a predator hunting forum also. This isn't it.

Nice shooting KZ. Airing it out is a lot of fun. I have to drive a ways to shoot over 600yds, which kinda sucks.....
