I recently just finished up my Savage 6mm Creedmoor. I gotta say that I am fairly impressed. The rifle was supposed to be a light hunting rifle but after running my buddy's 6.5 creedmoor on steel it took a quick turn for the heavy side.
Specs
Savage 11 short action. Still using factory bottom metal and mag.
26" Criterion varmint contour with 1 in 8" twist.
B&C M40 stock
Timney trigger set at 2lb
Weaver 20moa base
Warne maxima rings
Sightron S-tac 4-20x50 MOA2
Here is what the rifle looked like when it started life.....
.....How she looks now....
Plenty of room left in the mag with the 105 hunting VLD.
The rifle seems to favor RL26 powder instead of H4350. My Average FPS over the chrono went at 3185. Here is a roughly 1.25" group on steel at 460 yds. Fairly impressed even if I did put it all together hah.
The next endeavor is the 70 gr blitz kings for fun...and maybe a little coyote action. Just running pressure tests shooting 3 shot groups with h4895 it is shooting 3/4" with most charges and no development. We will see how it works out. Thanks for looking!
